About DARTS

DARTS primarily archives high-level data products obtained by JAXA's space science missions in astrophysics (X-rays, radio, infrared), solar physics, solar-terrestrial physics, and lunar and planetary science, as well as microgravity science data obtained by International Space Station. In addition, we archive related space science data products obtained by other domestic or foreign institutes, and provide data services to facilitate use of these data.

DARTS is developed and maintained by Center for Science-satellite Operation and Data Archive (C-SODA) at ISAS/JAXA.

DARTS Labs

DARTS Labs services are experimental. This means that DARTS may not offer full supports for them, and that DARTS may change these services or remove them in future. You are welcome to submit feedback to DARTS on these services.

Currently, DARTS Labs provide the following services:

  • C3 (Cross-Cutting Comparisons)

Use of DARTS data

Please find ISAS Data Policy for conditions of using DARTS data.

Acknowledgment to DARTS

If using the DARTS service made a significant contribution to your work, we will greatly appreciate an acknowledgment to DARTS like the following in your publication:

This research made use of data obtained from Data ARchives and Transmission System (DARTS), provided by Center for Science-satellite Operation and Data Archive (C-SODA) at ISAS/JAXA.

Also, in order to monitor the use of DARTS, we are happy to know when and how the DARTS is used.

Acknowledgments

The data products in DARTS are made available thanks to many scientific projects in JAXA and other institutes.

We thank NASA GSFC for helping us with the installation and maintenance of a CDAWeb mirror site.

We thankfully use various services developped at Centre de Donnees astronomiques de Strasbourg, France. In particular, we are grateful for Aladin Lite, which is effectively used in Akari CAS Expore tool and JUDO2.

Development of DARTS was partly supported by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientifica Research Results), and by Japan Science and Technology Agency.
