This is larger than Galactic interstellar column density and much larger than the optical extinction would imply, so the absorbing material must be concentrated on X-ray source. These may form an entirely new class with a common origin, or may simply be the highly obscured tail of the distribution of High and Low Mass X-ray Binaries. We propose to observe three these sources along with two new possibilities from the Swift BAT survey. Our goal is to observe the hard X-rays with the HXD and Fe K lines with the XIS to simultaneously measure the total flux, column density, and line strengths, in order to better understand the physics behind these intriguing new sources. | GALACTIC POINT SOURCES | 4 | A | RANDALL SMITH | USA | 1 | AO1 | HIGHLY ABSORBED GALACTIC X-RAY SOURCES IN SOFT AND HARD X-RAYS | HXD | N | https://data.darts.isas.jaxa.jp/pub/suzaku/ver3.0/401052010/ | Quick Look |
