Filename conventions are described in the earlier sections this document. Further details are available from e.g. ``ISAS server operation plan''. Many filenames include a version letter, designated by [.v] in the filename. The is no version number for the first version of a file (i.e. the version number is blank). The first revision takes `.a', and subsequent revisions take the corresponding letter of the alphabet.
Filenames should always be in lower case. Experiment names should not have leading zeroes suppressed or removed, e.g. experiment code v001 should not be shortened to v1.
