Our experiment is designed to distinguish between X-rays originating in the mass transfer stream and those originating in the extended circumbinary envelope. Modeling of XIS spectra will allow us to constrain the plasma temperature and emission measure, while the light curve with three exposures and high count rates will probe variability at around the 1% level over both the orbital timescale (13 days) and dynamical flow timescales (hours). Our request is for 20 ksec exposures at 3 different orbital phases to catch the system in and out of eclipse.
