We recently discovered cool accretion disks extending close to the innermost stable circular orbit in the hard states of two black hole transients. Such disks could give rise to strong reflection features, but instead these are weak or not detected. We propose a 70 ks Suzaku observation of Swift J1753.5-0127 (one of the two transients), which is currently in a prolonged hard state. Our goal is to put tight constraints on the strength of the reflection features and increase our understanding of the geometry of the spectrally hard component. Understanding accretion onto compact objects is fundamental to NASA's "SEU" theme. | GALACTIC POINT SOURCES | 4 | A | JEROEN HOMAN | USA | 2 | AO2 | CONSTRAINING REFLECTION FEATURES IN THE HARD STATE OF BLACK HOLE X-RAY BINARIES | XIS | Y | https://darts.isas.jaxa.jp/pub/suzaku/ver3.0/402088010/ | Quick Look | ![]() |
