One of the these enhancement is ostensibly an extension of the local bubble, while the other it is probably due to a region of very bright emission in the halo (z> 400 pc). We can verify the thermal nature of these sources, and look for CNO abyndance ratio differences between local disk and halo gas. It is critical to make these abundance determinations before the low energy response deteriorates any further. Note that this observation should also allow a calibration of the XIS response below the carbon edge to ~20%.
