Their spectral energy distributions (SEDs) include two main components: a low-energy component with power peaking in the range from the UV to the X-ray band, and a substantial high-energy component often dominated by gamma-rays. We propose 3 observations (32 ks each) of a selected sample of HBLs to study the behavior of the first component, widely interpreted as synchrotron radiation. First, we will be able to disentangle between different spectral shapes of the synchrotron SED of HBLs. Second, we will use the proposed observations to investigate the properties of the most representative sample of TeV candidate HBLs.
