A good description of how to get from Schpol Airport to JIVE is: The most convenient direct trains from Schiphol to Hoogeveen leave at 21 minutes past each hour. Check www.ns.nl for the railway timetable details. It's in Dutch but should be understandable. There is a special "Meeting point" at the Schiphol Plaza (the Amasterdam Airport). It is located in front of the railway (called NS in Dutch) ticket counter and looks like a high (~3 m) cubistic construction painted in big white and red squares. Hard to miss. Ed Fomalont, Richard Dodson and perhaps Kaj Wiik will be taking the 12:21 train on Monday to be met by a taxi to take us out to JIVE.
