****************************************************** PR # 11077 The Ultraluminous IRAS galaxies (ULIRGs) have been found that nearly all galaxies have merging nuclei. Sanders et al.(1988) proposed the evolutionary scenario that ULIRGs evolve into QSOs. If it is real, these galaxies would FIR color-evolution from "Blackbody-like" to "Power-Law" spectram. According to this point of view, we selected the four luminous merging galaxies from the IRAS database, that have intermediate FIR color between "Blackbody-like" and "Power-Law" spec- tram. These galaxies have all compact radio core, and AGN-like charac teristics by other wavelength observations. If "ASCA" will detect hard, nonthermal X-ray emission in these galaxies, it will be first discovery of post merging-Starburst galaxies evolving into AGN. ******************************************************
