****************************************************** PR # 11081 We propose X-ray observations of isolated elliptical galaxies. All the target shave fluxes equal to or greater than 1e-12 ergs/s/cm2. The prime aim is tomeasure temperature, mass, metal abundance of hot ISM. From abundance ratiosamong heavy metals, we determine which type of SN (I or II) is the maincontributor to heavy metal in hot ISM and study the rate and period of birthand death of stars. The other important aim is to measure the mass and distribution of gravitating matter, which has a strong influence on thermal and dynamical evolut- ion of hot ISM. ******************************************************
