****************************************************** PR # 11125 The Circinus galaxy is a nearby (4 MPC) galaxy, but because of its low galactic latitude (4 deg) it has been little studied. Practically there is no x-ray observation with sensitivity exceeding 1 mcrab. This galaxy is a source of very intense far-IR radiation as well as powerful water maser emission. The nucleus exhibits radio spurs. Thus the object is very likely to be an AGN. ******************************************************
