****************************************************** PR # 12034 We propose to study Fe emission lines and absorption edges in three hard X-ray selected narrow emission-line galaxies. All 3 already have detected Fe K emission lines(in unpublished Ginga data), and their in trinsic columns are large enough so that Fe edge absorption features are also detectable.Indeed, our simulated spectra show that Fe K emission and absorption features will be detected with ASCA in all three sources. The high spectral resolution of the ASCA SIS and GIS detectors, and large effective area near 7 keV,will enable strong cons traints on the ionization state, the iron abundance, and the covering factor.Further, the 0.5--2 keV capability of ASCA coupled with the high intrinsic $N_H$ will set very strong constraints on any low- energy components. ******************************************************
