****************************************************** PR # 12036 Globular clusters are the site of numerous Xray binaries and recycled radio pulsars. The observed Xray sources fall into two categories:high luminosity sources associated with accreting neutron stars, and low- luminosity systems($L < 10^{34.5}\ ergs\ s^{-1}$)that are essentially of unknown origin.Speculation as to the nature of these latter system s centers around CVs, LMXBs in quiescence, and collections of RS CVn stars. 47 Tuc has several low-luminosity sources that, together, yield the highest flux of any cluster (by a factor of 8). We propose to utilize Asuka to obtain a good-quality(composite) spectrum of the 47 Tuc sources to help determine their basic nature. Such an observation may be the best chance at understanding these objects short of a direct optical identification. ******************************************************
