****************************************************** PR # 12224 We propose to observe the Seyfert 1 galaxy 3C120 in order to detect possible emission lines in its spectrum. Since 3C120 shows some blazar characteristics, the search for spectral features has important implications for models of AGN.If beamed and isotropic components co-exist in this object, the strength of the emission lines allows us to estimate their relative contributions. The excellent spectral resolution of the ASCA satellite offers a unique possibility to quantify the blazar and thermal components in the 3C120 X-ray spectrum. ******************************************************
