****************************************************** PR # 123 Ophiuchus cluster of galaxies is first identified as X-ray source4U1708-23 by UHURU satellite at a redshift z=0.028. This is one of the nearest cluster such as Coma and Perseus and has highest temperature among those clusters(kT=9-10keV). By the HRI observation of Einstein, the X-ray surface brightness profileimplies central high density of about 10^-2cm^-3 and the presence of a cooling flow depositing about 140 solar-mass/yr. The previous X-ray imaging observation was done within central region ofthe cluster with small effective area. We propose the sevral pointing observations around the cluster by ASCAand search for spatial variation of spectra such as temperature orabundances of heavy elements and also density profile of hot gas modifiedby cooling flow. ******************************************************
