****************************************************** PR # 15 W49B is classified as a plerion type SNR with a diameter about 4 arcmin. Itsemission is from a thin thermal emission with a temperature about 2.8 keV thatis the typical emission from the shell type SNR. The spatial structure isquite similar to that of the Crab type SNR. This descrepancy can beunderstood with the fact the interstellar absorption feature is about 22.5.We can see the emission from the interior while that from the rims is heavilyabsorbed. We will be able study the hot interior of the SNR. W49B is alsoknown to have a strong iron line with an equivalent width about 4.7 keV ! Theexpected counting rate from the iron line is about 0.1 counts/sec/SIS. Otheremission lines like Ar, Ca, S, Si,.. down to O can be expected with the SIS.
