****************************************************** PR # 156 NGC 3147 is a starburst galaxy. It is the only object detected by HEAO-1and the Rosat all sky survey other than M82 and NGC253. There is no available IPC , HRI or Rosat image. The RASS flux is 0.25 cts/sec whilethe HEAO-1 A-2 flux is 2.3E -11. It is not in the HEAO-1 A-1 catalog.The galaxy is large 3.9x3.5' and has V=11.43 mag. A type I SN occuredin 1972, ~0.8' away from the nucleus. Object is very well studiedin optical, IR and radio and a large literature exists. The Rosat F(x)/F(opt)from the Boller et al paper (1992 A+A) shows a low value, not consistent with a AGN. ******************************************************
