   PR #    18
   W50, the SNR around SS 433, has two xray lobes about equal distance
   from the point source (ss 433) in the oposite direction. Their
   positions agree withwith the extrapolation of the radio "cork screw"
   image of jets as observed byVLBI. ASCA will spatially resolve the
   extended components and spectroscopicallyidentify the nature of the
   diffuse X-ray emission, and its relation to therelativistic jets of SS
   433.
