     The objectives of the proposed investigation are (1) to obtain both 
    the~ baryonic and dark matter distributions out to a much larger     
    radius (3Mpc) than previously possible and (2) to study the evolution
    of clusters, by detailed imaging and spectroscopic observation of    
    distant clusters. This observation will use the unique ASCA capabilit
    ies of spectral imaging at  >2 keV and extremely low background,     
    which allows an accurate determination  of plasma temperature and    
    metallic abundance, and to study the effect of merging.
