    We propose observations of three low luminosity Seyfert galaxies:Mrk 
    1040, NGC 7314 and NGC 526a. We will study the relationship between  
    their warm absorbers and absorption by neutral matter.The spectral   
    capability of the ASCA SIS allows various models ofthe absorbing gas 
    to be constrained. In particular, stratified cold/warm absorption can
    be examined. A better understanding of the X-ray properties of this  
    material is important for studies of the broadline region and inflow/
    outflow in active nuclei.
