****************************************************** PR # 22012 HR1099 is the brightest RS CVn system in the X-ray and EUV. We propose to observe HR1099 with ASCA for 40 ksec, contemporaneous with EUVE and IUE spectroscopy. To ensure overlap with these satellites, we are forced to ask for a time critical observation during the period 24-27 August 1994. The ASCA observations will cover a significant fraction of the orbital period. The ASCA count rate is high enough that good phase resolution for rotational modulation or time resolution of flaring is possible. ASCA spectra will show the very hottest plasma in the coronae of these stars. We will derive the coronal+transition region emission measure distribution, electron densities and abundances, using ASCA, EUVE, and IUE spectra, calculate models of the atmosp ******************************************************
