    We propose using the ASCA detectors (SIS \& GIS) to study the X-ray  
    halos and spectra of two bright galatic bulge Low Mass X-ray Binary  
    (LMXB) systems.  The main purposes of this investigation are to      
    explore the physical properties of interstellar dust grains (i.e.    
    spatial distribution, bulk density, elemental abundances) and to     
    improve understanding of the spectral properties of these LMXB       
    systems.  We will use ASCA to search for emission lines; a detection 
    of an emission line will provide important insights to the radiation 
    generating and reprocessing mechanisms of the LMXB systems.
