****************************************************** PR # 22146 We propose to obtain a broad band X-ray spectrum with good statistics of Seyfert 1.9 galaxy ESO103-G35, one of the few Seyfert's observed to have a large, variable absorption column. Based on non-simultan- eous Ginga & ROSAT observations, we expect to find a heavily absorbed spectrum in the hard X-rays and a soft component. Spectral and temporal analysis will allow us to determine whether this object more resembles a Seyfert 2, with scattered or extended soft emission, or a Seyfert 1with a warm absorber. Study of this transition object will allow us to test the assertion that heavily absorbed Seyfert 1's are obscured bythe molecular torus as Seyfert 2's are assumed to be. ******************************************************
