****************************************************** PR # 31025 To know the star formation history and the initial mass function, the Orion complex is the most accessible laboratory for the study of low to high mass young stars. We have been conducting extensive optical survey observations of the Orion region in a search for emission- li ne stars, and outside of the cloud, we detected far more samples than previously known. Follow-up observations confirmed that many of them are classical T Tauri stars. However, to complete our knowledge of l ow-mass young stars in the Orion, we should investigate "weak" T Taur i stars, which have been discovered as X-ray emitter in other star fo rming clouds. We will propose to survey X-ray sources in the Ori OB1b association. ******************************************************
