     We propose to perform three pointings, 30 ks each, onto the milky way       
      at Galactic longitude of 325.1, 342.4 and 345.8 degrees. These posit       
     ions are free from bright catalogued galactic X-ray  sources and radi       
     o SNRs. We hope to obtain high-quality spectra of the Galactic ridge        
     x-ray emission, and to determine the iron line center enegy so as to        
     investigate the ionization equilibrium condition of the X-ray emittin
