****************************************************** PR # 31137 We propose to observe the iron-rich giant elliptical galaxies NGC761 9, 7626, and 2832 to identify the origin of a macroscopic discrepancy between the expected abundance from optical spectroscopy, even with the lowest Type Ia SN enrichment, and what is consistently indicated by the X-ray observations of elliptical galaxies with four different X-ray telescope {\it GINGA, BBXRT, ROSAT}, and {\it ASCA}. Since the {\it ASCA} data available for iron-rich ellipticals are still ristric ted for small number of galaxies, it is of prime importance to increa se sample of galaxies of iron-rich and at the same time having the hi gh $L_X/L_B$ ratio. ******************************************************
