     We propose the ASCA observations of radio-loud , gas-super rich quasa       
     r 3C48. This source is an unique object for the investigation of evol       
     utionary scheme of ultra luminous IR merging galaxies to QSOs, especi       
     ally the late phase, because 3C48 is only source with both radio nucl       
     ear activity (radio-loud nature) and a extremely large amount of mole       
     cular gas, among ultra luminous IR galaxies and QSOs with host galaxi       
     es of mergers. ASCA observations will give us very important informat       
     ion about nuclear activities which should be triggered by the starbur       
     st as well as about circum nuclear region containing dense gas.  The        
     host thermal gas produced by intence starburst might be detected by t
