****************************************************** PR # 31529 We propose a 40 ks observation of the extreme Seyfert 2 galaxy IRAS 1 7020+4544 that was detected in the ROSAT all-sky survey. This object is extremely luminous in X-rays for a Seyfert 2, having a 0.1-2.5 keV luminosity of 2E44 erg/s. We believe it to be the best example of a link between Seyfert galaxies and narrow line ultraluminous IRAS gala xies, and ASCA observations will allow us to advance Seyfert/quasar u nification. We will model the hard X-ray continuum and iron K line an d will determine whether its torus is penetrated by hard X-rays or wh ether its hard emission is scattered into our line of sight. ******************************************************
