     We propose to observe the eclipsing DQ Her system XY Ari.  This is          
     the only known deep-eclipsing DQ Her system.  Crude, time-resolved          
     spectroscopy will be available using the high spectral resolution           
     available with ASCA.  An eclipsing DQ Her system can refine our             
     understanding of these systems, particularly the X-ray emitting             
     region.
