****************************************************** PR # 32128 We propose three observations of the supernova remnant CTB109 to compare the evolutionary state of dramatically different regions within the remnant. CTB109 has a spectacular semi-circular morphology where the eastern half of the remnant appears to have expanded relatively unimpeded into a low-density medium and the western half appears to have been completely constrained by a dense molecular cloud complex. The ROSAT results indicate that the shock/cloud interaction region is not in the evolutionary state predicted by models of CTB109. These observations will resolve this discrepancy, while completing the coverage of CTB109 by ASCA. ******************************************************
