****************************************************** PR # 32191 PSPC observations of AGN showed strong soft X-ray features which could be interpreted as absorption edges with optical depths typically 0.1-0.5 and energies associated with O VII-O VIII. Such features have been interpreted as evidence for large amounts of ionized circumnuclear material. Observations to date indicated that one source, NGC3783, was distinct in having an absorption feature of optical depth of 2.5, considerably larger than that observed in other AGN. We have now discovered that the AGN 3A0557 and 3C445 are similar to NGC3783. These sources are excellent candidates for a detailed study of the detailed conditions of the ionized absorber in AGN. ******************************************************
