****************************************************** PR # 32222 During 1995, the broad line radio galaxy 3C 390.3 will be the object of a multiwavelength monitoring campaign. IUE observations have been approved and ground based observations are being organized. Shapshot ROSAT HRI observations every three days will provide 99 soft X-ray flux measurements. However, the HRI provides no X-ray spectral information. ASCA spectra are necessary to interpret the HRI data since multiple spectral components can contribute to the soft X-ray emission. The multiwaveband spectra obtained at different epochs combined with the detailed knowledge of the variability in different wave bands will allow us to measure the fraction of the X-ray emission which is beamed. ******************************************************
