     We propose two x-ray bright  clusters, SC0559-40 and A514, with             
     apparently on-going mergers for detailed study with ASCA.  With these       
     observations, we can estimate the total mass and heavy element              
     distribution of the subclusters comprising each cluster and examine         
     subcluster interactions in the form of shocks which are expected to         
     occur as the subclusters merge.  The ASCA observations, when combined       
     with deep ROSAT PSPC images and extensive optical spectroscopy,             
     provide powerful tools for investigating cluster dynamics and
