   We propose to observe the massive, disk-fed X-ray binary Cen X-3
   duringits eclipse. We also wish to observe the eclipse ingress and
   egress. Byexamining the eclipse spectrum, we hope to constrain the
   nature andlocation of the circumstellar matter; by looking at the
   eclipse transitions,we hope to study absorption in the atmosphere; and
   finally, by lookingat the ou-of-eclipse emission, we hope to examine
   how the spectrum varieswith pulse phase.
