****************************************************** PR # 41139 We propose observations of the ultraluminous IRAS galaxies IRAS 00235+1024 and IRAS 23060+0505 to search for hidden AGN and advance Seyfert/quasar/ultraluminous IRAS galaxy unification. Both objects have luminosities characteristic of quasars and show evidence for obscuring material. They may have fluorescent line emission which would indicate the reprocessing of X-rays from a central AGN. IRAS00235+1024 was recently discovered to be the third most luminousIRAS galaxy known during a Cambridge APM machine systematic survey. IRAS 23060+0505 is both nearby and powerful so we should be able to probe it in detail. ******************************************************
