****************************************************** PR # 41149 We propose to observe a narrow-line quasar IRAS 20181-2244. The luminosity of the galaxy is comparable to that of QSOs both at optical and X-ray region, and its luminosity ratio of X-ray to infrared is typical of those of bare AGNs. However its optical spectrum is typical of Seyfert 2s. If the AGN is obscured as predicted in the unified scheme of AGN, its intrinsic X-ray to infrared luminosity ratio becomes unbelievably large. The current observation is to test if there is a indded buried AGN in this galaxy. This is a crucial test for the unified scheme of AGN; are all type 2 AGN indeed obscured type 1s or are there two types of Seyfert 2s; those with obscured broad line regions (BLRs) and those without BLRs ? ******************************************************
