****************************************************** PR # 41184 We propose a 40ks ASCA observation for the flat-spectrum narrow-line Seyfert (NLS1) galaxy Mrk507. ROSAT observations shows that this object shares the soft X-ray properties; fast variability, the lack of X-ray absorption, and large X-ray luminosity (Lx=1E43 erg/s), with NLS1 class objects. However, the spectral slope (photon-index 1.6) is exceptionally flat among the NLS1s (mean photon-index 3.4). The flat spectrum is good for the hard X-ray observation, and a spectroscopy with ASCA provides a new insight to the peculiar nature of NLS1 objects. We also intend to observe the bright Seyfert 1 galaxy Kaz163 10.7 arcmin away from Mrk507 at the same time. ******************************************************
