****************************************************** PR # 41208 We found some of new sources whose soft X-ray component is highly absorbed in ASCA Large Sky Survey project. This target, LSS1988+317, is the the most strongly absorbed one of them. It is very likely one of type-2 AGNs. Moreover it is possibly type-2 QSOs. Only a few type-2 QSOs are detected till now, though the number of type-2 QSOs must be more than that of type-1 QSOs, according to the unified scheme of AGN. This observation is a marvelous chance to detect the new type-2 QSO and to study it. We also got the image of the region around LSS1988+317 in R and B band, and detect several optical candidates of it already. We will spectroscope and identify them. This observation by X-ray and optics will give a large impact on the theory of AGN and in addition, on the theory of X-ray background. ******************************************************
