****************************************************** PR # 41226 Irregular clusters of galaxies give us an great opportunity to investigate a merging process in evolution of clusters. Since such clusters include several sub-clusters interacting each other, their distributions of temparature and metalicity may differ between different stages of evolution. Preceeding the ASCA satellite, however, it was impossible to determine such important quantities becuase no instrument could image clusters with arc-minutes resolution in hard X-ray band. The ASCA has good energy resolution and moderate spacial resolution in wider energy band up to 10keV, which enables us to measure spacial distributions of temparature and metalicity in the clusters. Here we propose to observe two irregular clusters A1644 and A2384 in order to unveil the mystery of cluster merging. ******************************************************
