****************************************************** PR # 42072 The nature of the unidentified galactic gamma-ray point sources is one of the outstanding puzzles from the EGRET sky survey. The singular pulsar Geminga, a very bright gamma-ray source whose nature was discovered through X-ray observations, may be the key to understanding the constant EGRET point sources. We propose a deep survey of several sources near the galactic plane which have relatively flat spectra, small EGRET error boxes, and a low variability index. By analysing the resultant flux, spectra, and morphology we will be able to determine if these sources are consistent with the Geminga model, or whether they represent an entirely new class of objects. ******************************************************
