****************************************************** PR # 42113 The high sensitivity of ASCA in the 0.4-10 keV energy band and the good SIS energy resolution are particularly useful for the study of complex absorption. ASCA can provide us with unique information about the physical state of the absorbing gas, its location and its geometry. Ionized absorbers have been so far studied by ASCA in a handfull of sources only. To increase the sample we propose ASCA observations of two bright AGN which showed evidences of ionized absorption in previous ROSAT observations. ******************************************************
