****************************************************** PR # 42122 ESO198-G24 is a bright Seyfert galaxy which exhibits a complex and highly variable X-ray spectrum, yet this source has never been observed by ASCA. Some of the most significant recent advances in the AGN field have arisen from analysis of long observations of the brightest targets, thus we propose a 60 ksec observation of the ESO198-G24 field in order to study the source spectrum over a range of X-ray flux levels. This pointing will allow us to obtain a GIS spectrum of the AM Her system WWHOR, 25 arcmin away. This will allow the first significant constraint on the form of the hard X-ray component of the WWHOR spectrum. ******************************************************
