   We propose 35 and 50 Ks observations of the two Seyfert 2 galaxies,
   NGC 3081 and MKN 573. These two observations, combined with others in
   the ASCA archive, will complete a flux-limited sample of 6 type 2
   Seyfert galaxies selected on the basis of the least biased parameter,
   the [OIII]5007 line flux. This sample will provide the best feasible
   basis for estimates of the distribution of column density, continuum
   slope and Fe K$_{\alpha}$ EW in Seyfert 2. These distributions are
   essential for the study of AGN unification schemes, and to evaluate
   the contribution of Seyfert 2s to the X-ray background.
