   We propose to carry out a 50 ksec pointing centered on the source NGC
   2023/S105, the only X-ray source in the embedded young star cluster
   in MGC 2023, detected in our ROSAT PSPC pointing. In the same field
   of view there is also the variable star V615 Ori, associated with
   Herbig-Haro objects. The goal of the ASCA observation is to obtain
   the first reliable X-ray spectrum of the extremely young embedded
   cluster in NGC 2023. We hope to discriminate between the spectrum of
