   We propose to make the first measurements of the medium energy X-ray
   spectrum in the AM Her star, QS Tel, which apparently undergoes
   relatively frequent changes of its accretion geometry. Using ASCA our
   key objectives are: 1) to measure the hitherto essentially
   unquantified medium energy spectral distribution - this will
   constrain the flux ratio of the hard and soft spectral components
   which is related to the homogeneity of the accreting material, b)
   monitor anticipated changes in the X-ray l
