   We propose ASCA observations of 3 member clusters of the Shapley
   supercluster. The clusters are chosen to investigate the influence of
   richness (mass), and position within the supercluster, and to
   determine whether cluster properties, such as the efficiency of
   galaxy formation, are a function of the local overdensity at the time
   of cluster formation.
