************************************************************************* 51194 It has been suggested that luminous IRAS galaxies are the new class of AGN which have not been previously detected due to their red colors in optical and the lack of UV excess. Some of them have Sy.2 spectrum in optical but quasar luminosity in FIR, that is, "type 2 quasar" characteristics. Recent studies of IRAS quasars with "warm" FIR colors by ASCA have shown that some of these objects show type 2 characteristics in X-rays, while others show no sign of AGN activity. Here we propose to observe 3 warm IRAS quasars to verify the link between FIR and X-ray emission from quasars and to investigate the nature of type 2 quasars. Our studies in previous AOs have shown some hint of link between X-ray loudness and FIR colors. We will be able to verify this idea in detail with this proposal. *************************************************************************
