   Science: NGC720 is one of elliptical galaxies, whose precise
   temperaturegradient has not been obtained yet. At this observation, we
   can obtain it andthe density profile of NGC720 simultaneously, and we
   will be able toinvestigate the distribution of the gravitating matter
   and the totalgravitational mass of NGC720. On the other hand, we can
   study the origin of hotinterstellar matter (ISM) and the evolution of
   elliptical galaxy by themaesurement of metal abundance of hot ISM.
   ASCA is the first satellite whichcan carry out it.Calibration: As the
   temperature of hot ISM is about 1keV, many strong linesaround 1keV are
   expected. This can be used for the energy calibration and
   theverification of the enerty resolution, especially in the low energy
   band.
