************************************************************************* 52124 We propose the extreme Fe II quasar PHL 1092 to study its high energy continuum and strong variability. PHL 1092 is a high-luminosity narrow- line Seyfert 1 class object, and its ROSAT spectrum is extremely soft. ASCA will let us study its high energy spectrum for the first time to determine if it is different from that of more typical quasars. PHL 1092 shows large amplitude and remarkably rapid variability in its ROSAT observation, and it may also show giant amplitude X-ray variability. Our observation will study the variability better than ever before. It is very important to study the spectra of unusual quasars like PHL 1092 to explore the extremes of quasar behavior and expand the spectral window function. *************************************************************************
