************************************************************************* 53017 Recent investigations suggest that many of the observed differences between radio-loud AGN can be attributed to orientation dependent source properties. X-ray observations have revealed that radio-loud quasars with flat and steep radio spectra are also different in terms of their X-ray spectral index and their luminosity which could in principle be explained be a two component model for the X-ray emission. With this ASCA observation we want to investigate this two component model in detail by comparing the broad band X-ray spectrum of steep and flat spectrum radio quasars. *************************************************************************
